Beautiful Bali Holidays
Bali is quite possibly Indonesia’s most loved island by tourists. It has powdery sands, tropical coral filled sea, and verdantly green forests, spectacular mountains and rapidly cascading waterfalls. Head into the heart of the island and experience its cultural centre, with incense infused temples, and eco friendly resorts and spas. Add to this a laid back vibe, mouth wateringly delicious cuisine and friendly welcoming people and its easy to see why the island has that recipe for success with its visitors.
Bali is a pretty small island really; its only 95 miles wide and 70 miles from top to bottom. But for a little island its landscape is so diverse. Expect bustling towns and cities that are super busy, with lots of noise and traffic. Head out of town and it feels you are in another world, the pace is slower, the air is so fresh and the land is so pleasant and green. Enjoy the most spectacular views high in the hills where the rice fields are tiered into terraces; its absolutely breathtaking. When it comes to beach time choose from quiet stretches of sand where seclusion is the order of the day, or head to much busier spots where you will find lots of watersports such as surfing, laid back bars and ultra cool beach clubs.
The colourful culture of Bali, and its heritage and customs are never far away. The people are very proud of their spirituality and traditions. Bali is often referred to as the Island of the gods. Religious ceremonies, and spiritual music and dance often takes place in public places and each day you will see offerings to the gods of beautiful bright petals and other gifts around homes, temples and buildings in even the busiest of streets.
When deciding where to stay in Bali you need to consider what sort of holiday it is you are looking for. The upmarket resort of Seminyak is perfect for people who want to enjoy the beach by day and the hip bars and restaurants on an evening. It is also very popular for people who enjoy surfing. Sanur is an original Bali beach resort, head here for a relaxed Bali beach holiday with some authentic Balinese hotels and lots of options to sample the local food. Or choose Nusa Dua for more of a hotel based holiday. Here you will find many outstanding luxury resorts, many of which have acclaimed in hotel restaurants serving up high level food and spectacular spas for relaxation.
Those seeking pure relaxation, a retreat or wellness holiday or simply a break that takes them away from it all should head to Ubud. The scenery here is nothing short of spectacular and will take your breath away. Known as the cultural centre of the island, with temples, galleries and local markets to explore. It’s a fantastic place for an eco friendly holiday with many hotels, restaurants and spas focusing on this. Expect sunrise yoga and meditation, infinity pools and unforgettable moments.
Bali is a fabulous destination, whether you are seeking adventure or relaxation. Its perfect for honeymoons and special occasion holidays, great trips for groups of friends and resort based holidays for families.

Twin Centre Escape
Why not combine time in Bali with another destination and enjoy two places in one holiday. When I visited Bali I did this after a layover enroute from the UK in Dubai. This is a great way to break up your flight and experience something totally different. You could also choose to stop in Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur or Abu Dhabi.
We also chose to hop over to the Gili Islands and stay there for a few days enjoying the peace and tranquillity of Gili Meno which was absolutely amazing. Other options include heading over to Lombok or Borneo for an altogether different Indonesian experience. Or why not enjoy the ultimate multi centre and follow onto Bali after time in Australia.
All of these destinations and more can be teamed up by our travel experts who will build a bespoke holiday for you to make the most out of your time away
